 Location: Heritage High School, Brentwood, CA (Gymnasium)
 Time: Games start at 9:30 AM (Teams Must Check in at 9am)

Entertainment: Live DJ, Vendors, Food Trucks, and a Dunk Contest at 1:00 PM – no games during this time!

  • Q: How many games will each team play?: A: Each team is guaranteed 3 games in round-robin play. The top 4 teams in each division will advance to a single-elimination playoff (semifinal + final).
  • Q: What is the tournament date and locat: A: The tournament takes place at Heritage High School, with games running from 9:30 AM to 3:00 PM. Check in will be at 9AM
  • Q: What age divisions are offered?: A: The divisions are: 10–11 12–14 15–17 Open Adult Division 35 and Over Division
  • Q: How much is team registration?: A: Team registration ranges between $250–$300, depending on registration date.
  • Q: How many players can be on a team?: A: Each team may roster up to 5 players (3 on the court, 2 sub).
  • Q: What is included in the registration: A: Your fee includes: Tournament entry Gym access Music by our tournament DJ Championship T-Shirt for division winners
  • Q: What is the game format?: A: Games are played: Half-court To 40 points OR 30-minute max, whichever comes first Scoring is by 2s and 3s only
  • Q: Are referees provided?: A: Yes, each game will have official referees monitoring gameplay and calling fouls.
  • Q: Are there timeouts or substitutions?: Time Outs: each team is allowed three 45-second time-outs per game. The game clock does not stop during any time-outs. NO time-outs are permitted in the last three minutes of the game.
  • Q: What happens in a tie?: A: Overtime is first team to score 2 points.
  • Q: When is the Dunk Contest?: A: The Dunk Contest will take place from 1:00 PM to 1:30 PM. No games will be played during this break.
  • Q: Will there be food and merchandise ?: A: Yes! We will host 6 vendor booths, offering food, drinks, and gear.
  • Q: When should teams arrive?: A: All teams must check in by 9:00 AM. First games begin at 9:30 AM sharp.
  • When and what court do we play on?: Download the team sideine app and it will display all of this.
  • Who starts with ball?: A coin toss will determine who starts with the ball.
  • After game protocol: Winning teams are responsible to deliver the scorecard to the Chosen Headquarters to be entered.
  • Change of Possession Each Score: No, Make It Take It for all divisions: the ball changes possession after each scored basket.
  • Change of Possession: Ball must be cleard behind 3 point line if there is a turnover. If your team recovers the ball, no clear is necessary. Clearing: when in play, the ball must be "cleared" on each change of possession. "Clearing the ball" means BOTH feet must be behind the two-point arc. Failure to "Clear" is a violation. Each Individual Violation: Change of Possession
  • Jump Balls: Jump Balls: all jump balls become the possession of the defensive team.
  • Free Throws: Free Throws: free throws count as one point. When fouled in the act of shooting, free throws are awarded to the fouled shooter only when the basket was not made (1 Freethrow for 2 points,) . All free throws are dead balls. Regardless of whether the free throw(s) are made, the opposing team checks the ball from the check box. The try-for goal shall be made within 10 seconds.
  • Team Fouls: RECORDED TEAM FOUL # RESULT (for a team that was fouled) Team Fouls 1 through 7 Check ball from check box, unless fouled in the act of shooting (see above) Team Fouls 8+ One free throw, unless fouled in the act of shooting (see above).
  • Personal Fouls: Personal Fouls: the referee will record each personal foul. Each team member is allowed four personal fouls. Upon receiving the fourth personal foul, the player is disqualified. If a player is fouled in the act of shooting and a basket is not made, player must attempt a free throw (1 free throw for 2 points if fouled in the act of shooting behind the arc).
  • Player or Team Ejection: This is a family event. No profanity or abusive behavior toward officials, tournament administrators, or each other will be tolerated by players or fans. Players/fans violating this rule will be ejected for the duration of the tournament. Unruly fan or player behavior may also result in games being stopped and potential forfeit if deemed necessary. No Refunds if this happens.
  • Refunds: Due to Various expenses, there is a no refund policy. All sales are final.
