Jermaine Worley

CEO, Founder

Jermaine Worley, is a founder and CEO of Chosen Sports Leagues. Mr. Worley is a Bay Area native who brings over 15 years of basketball experience, from playground courts to the semi-professional level. A former student-athlete at Simpson University, Jermaine earned a bachelor's degree in Bible and Theology, learning Hebrew and Greek during his university studies. His basketball career includes playing for Feather River College, Simpson University, and the California Golden Tigers in the American Basketball Association (ABA). Transitioning into coaching, Mr. Worley has led multiple teams to championships and undefeated seasons. Beyond coaching, he holds a master’s degree in education and spent eight years teaching, including three years in Oakland and two years at Dallas Ranch Middle School in Antioch. His personal journey, including surviving a life-threatening event, inspired the creation of Chosen Sports Leagues as a ministry and sports platform to positively impact youth. Mr. Worley, attends meetings of the Board as a non-voting observer.

Dwayne Freeman

Executive Director, Founder

Mr. Freeman’s journey in youth mentorship began as a Catholic Youth Organization coach at Immaculate Heart Parish in East Contra Costa County, where his teams won three Oakland Diocese Championships. From 2013 to 2018, M Freeman led Heritage High School’s basketball program to five consecutive league titles and a CIF-North Coast Section Division 1 Championship. Mr. Freeman’s dedication to community service and support of youth athletics is bolstered by his professional government experience. With over 12 years of experience managing Fortune 500 banks and nearly a decade as an analyst at the Department of Justice, Division of Law Enforcement, under then-Attorney General Kamala Harris, Mr. Freeman brings significant financial and organizational expertise to Chosen Sports Leagues. Mr. Freeman holds a BA in Liberal Studies from California State East Bay and is a proud father of a son who is set to graduate from California State Fullerton with a degree in Mathematics, where he also serves as Director of the campus basketball team.

Chaplain Jayson Bordges

Director

Chaplain Jayson Bordges, a commissioned officer since 2021, currently serves as the Battalion Chaplain for the 143rd MP Battalion in Los Angeles, CA. With over 15 years of pastoral leadership experience, including roles at Antioch Wesleyan Church and Cornerstone Christian Church, Chaplain Bordges brings a wealth of knowledge in ministry and community engagement to Chosen Sports Leagues (CSL). His background includes a Master of Divinity from Azusa Pacific University and a BA in Sociology/Criminology from California State University San Marcos. A dedicated advocate for youth development, he has coordinated numerous drug and gang prevention programs for at-risk youth in North County San Diego. Chaplain Bordges is passionate about fostering diverse leadership, having served as a representative for the multi-ethnic church initiative in the Pacific Southwest District of The Wesleyan Church. His experience in spiritual guidance and youth mentorship aligns with CSL's mission to empower young athletes both on and off the field.

Elise Bragaza

Director

Elise Braganza is the co-founder of Silver Fern Child & Family Therapy, Inc., where she serves as Program Director and leads the Associate Therapist Program. With a background in psychotherapy focused on complex trauma, Elise specializes in neurobiological and mindfulness treatments that address maladaptive behavior and foster creativity. As a multiracial, women-owned business leader, Elise brings experience in building a successful, debt-free company dedicated to supporting the BIPOC community. Her commitment to creating safe spaces for growth and healing aligns with Chosen Sports Leagues' mission of empowerment and faith-based support. As one of the first supporting parents of Chosen Leagues, Ms. Bragaza brings a deep understanding of its core values, helping to drive the league's vision to positively impact youth through basketball and community engagement.

Nakia Washington

Director

Nakia Washington brings 24 years of experience at Chevron, where he has excelled in managing organizational challenges and leading teams. As a founding member of Chevron's Equipment Data Management (EDM) Team, Mr. Washington played a key role in bridging the gap between user needs and technology solutions. While new to the nonprofit sector, Mr. Washington is inspired by Chosen Sports Leagues' growth and faith-based mission. His background in corporate management and commitment to volunteerism bring a fresh perspective and dedication to advancing CSL’s community impact.
